(March 2, 2016) — JAXI CMD, LLC, the developers of ALLURE, the new, luxury high-rise condominium planned for the charming River District of downtown Fort Myers, have announced that they have purchased the historic Alderman House. Located at 2572 E. First Street in downtown Fort Myers, the Alderman house was built in 1925 and is listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The residence was originally owned by prominent local banker and attorney Frank Alderman, Sr. who moved to the area from New York. A successful entrepreneur, Alderman was president of the First National Bank in Fort Myers and played a part in the development of downtown.

“We are committed to the continued revitalization of downtown Fort Myers, while also doing what we can to preserve its rich history, so we decided to purchase the Alderman House to preserve this historic landmark and valued treasure,” says JAXI Managing Member Eduardo Caballero.  JAXI plans to eventually relocate the ALLURE sales gallery from 1300 Hendry Street to the Alderman house.

The architecture of the 2-story Alderman house is Spanish Colonial Revival and features a front patio with Italian blue and white tile and arcaded loggia with twisted columns. (Feb. 11, 2016) — A ten-foot-tall sculpture titled “Brisas” from internationally-acclaimed artist Edgardo Carmona, was recently purchased by the ALLURE condominium developers and will now remain in historic downtown Fort Myers. The sculpture is part of the “Allure Your Senses” 23-piece exhibit, which is sponsored by ALLURE, the new, two-tower, 32-story luxury condominium to be built on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River at 2601 First Street. The art installation, recently brought to the Fort Myers Historic River District, is Carmona’s first North American public art debut.

“Brisas” will be on display in front of the ALLURE sales gallery, located at 1300 Hendry Street in charming downtown, until she is moved to the project’s new sales center. Then, when the luxury condominium is complete, she will be moved to the ALLURE condominium, where she will reside permanently.

Prior to coming to Fort Myers, the “Allure Your Senses” exhibit, was on display in Paris on the banks of the Seine River and in front of the Eiffel Tower. The monumental sculptures in historic downtown Fort Myers are positioned in various outdoor public spaces, predominantly along First Street and Hendry Street from City Hall to the riverfront. The exhibit was also showcased during ArtFest Fort Myers and will continue to be displayed through March 31.

Colombian Artist’s Public Exhibit, Brought to the Fort Myers Historic Downtown by Developers of ALLURE LUXURY CONDOMINIUMS, Extends to RSW

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 4, 2016) — A sculpture from internationally-acclaimed artist Edgardo Carmona, who recently  made his first North American public art debut with the unveiling of his 23-piece “Allure Your Senses” exhibit in the historic Fort Myers River District, is now on display at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW).  The piece titled “Dúo Sinfónico” is an iron sculpture which creates a moment where a flutist with his beautiful tunes, attracts a chirping bird to sing with him, creating a stunning symbiosis between human and wildlife. It will be on display through sometime in March. The sculpture, located in the East Atrium departure level, near door number two, is part of the Art In Flight partnership between Lee County Alliance for the Arts and Lee County Port Authority, which brings art to public spaces at Southwest Florida International Airport.  For more information visit www.artinlee.org.
